Activists Protest Gore's Honorary Degree at University of Tennessee

Al Gore's honorary degree from the University of Tennessee has drawn the ire of activists who think the former vice president's work on climate change is misguided.
Several dozen activists have gathered in Knoxville to speak out against giving Gore an honorary doctorate in ecology and evolutionary biology at graduation ceremonies Friday.
The activists planned to gather outside the ceremony to highlight what Antonio Hinton, who helped organize the event, called "a blatant and fraudulent lie" perpetuated by Gore, who won the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize along with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
"All that man does is get awards and accolades that he does not deserve," said Hinton, 36. "We want to let the University of Tennessee know they ought to be ashamed of themselves."
Gore, who earned his bachelor's degree at Harvard, lives in Nashville. He has campaigned worldwide to draw attention to climate change, which led to the Oscar-winning documentary "An Inconvenient Truth."sexy lingerie sexy crotchless panties
